Health Imaging & IT - June 2008 - (Page 27) World Molecular Imaging Congress The Society for Molecular Imaging (SMI), the Academy of Molecular Imaging (AMI), the European Society for Molecular Imaging (ESMI), the Federation of Asian Societies for Molecular Imaging (FASMI), the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) are pleased to announce that these four organizations will be cooperating in organizing this meeting. Following on the success of the Joint Molecular Imaging Conference held in Providence in 2007, the meeting has changed its name to the to recognize the contributions from the participating Molecular Imaging Organizations. The World Molecular Imaging Congress program will be constructed primarily on the strength of submitted abstracts. In a new move, the Program Committee will be integrating many of these abstracts into special sessions that bring attendees from different disciplines together for a comprehensive examination of the role of molecular imaging in particular biomedical problems.
