TECHNOLOGY PREVIEW eRAD (Booth 8538) is introducing a scheduling module for its eRAD PACS that enables multi-site imaging centers to centrally manage patient information, procedure schedules, insurance verification and room allocation. The PACS Scheduling Module is available as a standalone application and as an add-on to its PACS. Fujiﬁlm Medical Systems USA (Booth 1129), with the acquisition of ProSolv CardioVascular earlier this year, is highlighting Synapse version 3.2, integration with ProSolv CardioVascular’s CVIIS, future extensions to distributed 3D software and an expanded data model for Synapse PACS. Synapse Version 3.2 addresses recent trends in digital mammography and includes the ability to display and manage CAD results, MQSA-compliant image overlays and diagnostic/screening reading protocols. With the acquisition of ProSolv CardioVascular, Fujifilm is extending its PACS platform and demonstrating integration with ProSolv CardioVascular’s cardiovascular image and information system (CVIIS) for any modality, including cath. The company is highlighting integrated Corridor4DM (previously known as 4DM-SPECT) capabilities. Future extensions to Fuji 3D software cover PET/CT fusion and digital mammography. The company is showing work-in-progress advancements to existing diagnostic MIP/MPR capabilities for Synapse. The expanded data model for Synapse PACS includes tight integration of Empiric Systems Encompass.NET RIS functionality. Also, as a work in progress, Fujifilm is demonstrating expanded information content. GE Healthcare (Booth 1729) is showcasing Centricity Imaging-PACS version 3.0. New IHE profiles automate exam acquisition, reporting, and communication for referring physicians. GE also is showcasing its Centricity AW Suite 2 that combines advanced visualization tools from AW software within Centricity Imaging-PACS. Centricity AW Suite 2 offers five optional modules such as CardIQ (cardiology), Advanced Lung Analysis PACS peripherals bridge hardcopy and softcopy Aycan Medical Systems (Booth 6903) is showcasing its x-ray, DICOM paper print solution that allows users to print images on plain paper at near lm quality. Carestream Health (Booth 2513) is spotlighting its Dryview 6800 laser imager that supports all digital modalities on a PACS network, o ering 650-pixel output for all image sizes for radiography and digital mammography and processes up to 200 lms per hour. Cedara Software (Booth 1316) is showing the Open Eyes platform and MergeCOM3 application development Codonics Virtua XR Medical Disc Publisher tools available in JAVA and .NET. MergeCOM3 provides DICOM messaging details abstraction. Cedara also is displaying MergeBox Video, an integrated RIS/PACS work ow device that captures streaming video of patient data and images from multiple sources. Codonics (Booth 1921) is exhibiting the Virtua XR Medical Disc Publisher, a recording system for high-volume imaging applications as well as Codonics multimedia solutions such as the Horizon Multi-media dry Imager, which provides patient consultation tools to referring physicians; and the Horizon XL Multi-media dry Imager with 36- and 51-inch long digital lm output for printing long-bone studies, scoliosis and pediatric and adult spines for surgical planning. DatCard Systems (Booth 8528) is releasing PacsCube software 4.0, which features AutoBurn service, patient de-identi cation management, an IHE-compliant media import utility and provides monitoring controls through a new robotic engine. Etiam (Booth 7510) is presenting its updated, automated CD/DVD distribution system, the Open LiteBox, which imports external DICOM media to PACS. GencoSoft (Booth 8010) is introducing its DICOM image router/server and burner software, AutoPACS, which can be con gured to automate processes like: sending images to other DICOM modalities; quick manipulation of image tags; DICOM printing; CD/DVD burning; querying remote servers; and retrieving data. It exports images in di erent formats and can execute custom scripts. Konica Minolta Medical Imaging (Booth 2554) is showcasing DryPro 832, a laser lm imager with resolution of 78.6 microns that prints 90, 14- by 17-inch lms per hour and is con gurable with one or two trays for four di erent lm sizes and seven DICOM connections.
