PACS Peripherals Radiology training and education for the 21st century are the core of the President’s Reading Services Address and opening session on Sunday, Nov. 30 starting at 8:30am. Topics related to CT RIS/PACS are especially top of mind at RSNA 2008 with many sessions targeting CT radiation safety, Speech Recognition cone-beam CT and dose and CT colonography. Ultrasound New this year for informatics and physics professionals are applied science sessions that include non-hypothesis-based exams of 10 key radiology-related topics. Informatics professionals also need to visit the IHE Image Sharing Demonstration in Hall A (Booth 2842) and the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid (NCI caBIG) Imaging Workspace in Lakeside Learning Center. Back for a second year are the Quality Improvement Symposium on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 8:30am-6:00pm, and the Bolstering Oncoradiologic and Oncoradiotherapeutic Skills for Tomorrow (BOOST) Program that encourages partnerships between radiation oncologists and diagnostic radiologists that runs from Monday, Dec. 1 through Thursday, Dec. 4, 8:30am-4:30pm.
