As prices are updated on a weekly basis to reflect supply and demand. It follows that the earlier you book the better the price you will get – for when Cruise America have more vehicles available, the price is cheaper no matter at what time of year you are travelling. Pick up your motorhome today before heading for the state capital. Explore the riverfront of Old Sacramento, the historic collection of buildings from the Gold Rush era, and the California State Railroad Museum. Perhaps take a cruise on a restored paddle-wheeler. Overnight: Sacramento KOA Day 2 Sacramento to South Lake Tahoe. Begin your climb today through increasingly dramatic scenery through the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. At Echo Summit the elevation is 7 ,382 ft where you begin to descend, with breathtaking views around you, into the Tahoe basin to one of the most beautiful alpine lakes in the world. Overnights (2): Lake Tahoe KOA Day 3 Lake Tahoe. At leisure in the area known as 'the Jewel of the Sierras', one of the country's favourite playgrounds. Superb recreational facilities are available winter and summer. Take a cruise on the lake, the largest alpine lake in North America, and ride The Gondola at Heavenly for contrasting perspectives from 9000 ft above sea level. Important Information Compact CT22 (22ft) Motorhome Driver Requirements – Drivers must be 21 years or over and be in possession of a valid UK driving licence. Rental Restrictions – • You may not collect your motorhome on the day of arrival in the USA or Canada. A hotel must be booked for first night and pick-up arranged for the following day. Please call reservations for details • Motorhome depots are not open on Sundays or public holidays for pick up or return. • Motorhomes can be rented between 7 & 30 days on the same contract; each 30 days will need a new contract and different pricing may occur. Transfers – Transfers to/from hotel and/or airport to the rental centre are not included in the costs of rental. Exceptions are made to those who have pre-booked EBDS. Pick up procedure – Vehicles may be collected between 14pm, we strongly advise that you contact the rental centre directly in the morning to find out what time your vehicle will be ready and what time you should arrive at the rental centre. Drop-off procedure – All vehicles are to be returned between 9-11am. All returns after this time will be subject to additional charges. One Way Rentals – Are possible between any USA location or any Canadian location (excluding cross-border drop-offs) an additional cost of between $50-750 apply, please call for details Intermediate C25 (23-25ft) Motorhome Refundable Security Deposits – A deposit of $500 ($750 CDN) payable by credit card is required at departure. Without a credit card, your deposit could double and we urge you not to travel without one. Your deposit will be refunded, less any additional charges incurred such as additional mileage, on safe return of a clean vehicle. Travel Restrictions – Vehicles may not be driven off public paved roads. In addition there are certain areas where restrictions apply, such as New York City, and during the summer months in Death Valley and other desert areas, due to extreme heat causing safety issues. In Canada there are restrictions in the Yukon, Newfoundland, Northwest Territories. Deluxe C30 (28-30ft) Motorhome Early Bird Departure Special from only £108 per day (EBDS) If you would like to pick up your motorhome in the morning and return it in the afternoon, you can, by pre-booking the ‘EBDS’ with United Vacations. The fee is dependent on the day of the week of your pick-up i.e £108 per rental for Tue/Wed/Thur pick-ups and £219 per rental for Fri/Sat/Mon pick-ups. This fee includes up to eleven extra rental hours, as well as round-trip transfers for every member of your party. Day 8/9 Las Vegas. Explore The Strip and the magical hotels, each trying to outdo the others with their themes. Maybe have a flutter or take in a show. Perhaps take a helicopter flight to see the neon lights of Las Vegas from the air, and seriously consider a flight-seeing tour to the Grand Canyon while you're in the area. Overnight: Las Vegas KOA, Circus Circus Day 10 Las Vegas to Palm Springs. Your next destination as you cross back into California is the chic oasis of Palm Springs, one of eight desert resorts set among spectacular scenery in the Coachella Valley. Day 11 Palm Springs. Spot the homes of the famous and where they themselves relax. Stroll through Palm Canyon Drive, the fashionable heart of Palm Springs, or head out of town to explore more of the desert. Ride the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway up Mount San Jacinto to 8,516 feet above sea level and magnificent views of the valley below. Perhaps visit Joshua Tree National park where the bizarre twisted trees are indigenous to high desert regions. Day 12 Palm Springs to Anaheim. Turning north again you head for Los Angeles today and the opportunity to explore the world's entertainment centre. Overnight: Los Angeles/Pomona/Fairplex KOA Day 13/14 Anaheim. In Anaheim, Disneyland Park, Disney's California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm, Soak City and many other theme parks in the area vie for your attention. In the evening perhaps visit Downtown Disney or The Block at Orange where theatres, restaurants and shops come alive as the sun goes down. Day 15 Anaheim to Los Angeles Depot.
