For a start there are a nine resorts less than an hour’s drive from the Salt Lake International Airport so for sheer convenience, Utah is hard to beat. One of the best known resorts is Park City Mountain Resort. This resort offers an immense variety of skiing and it is where the US ski team skies. The Skiing Park City Mountain Resort is neatly divided to suit all levels, though the key word here is accessibility; not only is the life system such that you can get to all points on the mountain fast, including the town lift which starts on Park City’s historic Main Street, but lift queues are virtually unknown. For experts and ambitious intermediates, there is the top bowls and black diamond runs up in the Jupiter area, as well as great cruising. Novices will progress fast on the east side of the mountain. Out & About Park City was born in the silver boom of the 1870s and its focal point is still Main Street made up of Victorian clapboard buildings. Quite apart from Old West character and charm there are something like 100 bars, restaurants and even a brewery, so you aren’t going to be starved for choice.
