By having your own Alamo rental car for the duration it will enable you and your party to visit other resorts in close proximity - if you’re staying in Vail the slopes of Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone should not be missed, whilst if your hotel is in Heavenly you may kick yourself if you fail to ski at some of the six other resorts that surround Lake Tahoe including Northstar and Squaw Valley. Unlike Britain where unlimited Third Party coverage is mandatory, in America the minimum legal requirement is as little as $10,000 (in Florida), which is considered grossly inadequate. Therefore, for your peace of mind and financial protection we strongly recommend that you be adequately covered. In order to ensure this both our Fully Inclusive and Gold rental packages include a combination of Collision Damage Waiver and Liability Coverage. $1 million Liability Coverage (Extended Protection EP) supplies you with up to $1m third party liability coverage and $100,000 uninsured motorist protection (UMP) for the renter and any family member related by blood, marriage or adoption. For your financial protection both our Fully Inclusive and Gold rental packages include this coverage free of charge. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) protects you against damage to or loss of your Alamo vehicle, as long as the terms of the rental contract are not violated. CDW can be purchased locally on arrival in Florida at the cost of $22.95 per day. Additional charges such as local access fees, airport user fees, concession recoupment fees and local taxes are payable locally based on the total value of the car rental. For your protection and peace of mind, we strongly recommend that you pre-purchase Funway’s Fully Inclusive or Gold packages, (which include all of the above protection/taxes/fees) at time of booking. On collection of your Alamo car you must provide a deposit such as a credit card. The credit card must be in the driver’s name and will be debited for any incidental charges at time of rental. Alternatively, you can leave a cash deposit of $25 per car per day or $100 per car per week to be left as a security. Please note that if you leave a cash deposit, 3 forms of identification is needed in the form of drivers licence, passport and airline tickets. *Inclusions and coverage for car rentals in Canada differ slightly. Please call for details. Prices are in £’s per car. For inclusions see opposite. Vehicles must be collected and dropped off within a set time frame of 24 hours. For example, if you have booked 7 days car hire and collect your car at 3pm on the Saturday, you have to drop it off the following Saturday by 3pm, otherwise you will be charged an additional day’s rental by the rental centre. PEAK SEASON: Add £ 18 per week/ £4 per day for all rentals commencing 8 July-31 August and 16-31 December 2009 (inclusive). Luxury 8-seater vans are only available in certain locations.
