2008 AUA Preview newspaper - (Page 7) PREVIEW • AUA DAILY NEWS • New Research. New Thinking. New Practices. 7 LOCAL TIPS A few more tips from Orlando residents Michael A. Keating, M.D., and his wife, Nancy, as you make travel plans for the 2008 AUA Annual Meeting. • Make reservations for everything on Disney property. You can make dining reservations up to 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDWDINE. • It’s cheaper to dine off of Disney property. International Drive has many dining options very close to the convention center. Sand Lake Road is a little farther away (three or four miles) and slightly more upscale. • Teenagers and older kids will likely enjoy Universal Studios, while younger kids tend to prefer DisneyWorld. Similarly, Universal City Walk is a good nighttime option for teenagers, while Downtown Disney is typically more appealing to younger children. • Buy express passes if available at amusement parks. These passes, which may be as much as $25 per person, allow you to go to the front of line at popular rides. This could reduce a 90-minute wait to 10 minutes, and an eighthour park experience to four hours. • Check out the entertainment calendar at www. orlandosentinal.com closer to the meeting dates for a variety of entertainment options.
