OTHER COURSES GET198 Cyber Safeguards for UF Restricted Data Course Description UF is obligated to protect private data. Failure to protect private data impacts UF liability, reputation, and costs. This introductory course will explain the do’s and don’ts of using private data on computers. Attendees will learn when to use encryption. Proper methods for disposal of private data will be taught as well as what to do in the event of a private data exposure. Important contacts regarding private data will be presented, and technical resources for data protection will be discussed. The class is very interactive with discussion topics that get the participants thinking about how to protect their personal and work computers both at home and the office.
