Redlener (Ba Pol Sci ’96) has been named co-chair of the Practice and Procedure Committee of the Boston Bar association’s Bankruptcy law Section. the Practice and Procedure Committee serves as a liaison with the office of the Clerk of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts and considers local practice issues. redlener is an associate in the Business Department at Nutter McClennen & Fish llP. katherine Corcoran (Ma eng ’06) married Kenneth edward lytle on June 30, 2007. Their reception was held at the Clarion Nantasket Beach Hotel in Hull, and the couple honeymooned in ocho rios, Jamaica. Katherine works at Bridgewater State College. Nicole T. Cosetta (Ba art ’05) and Matthew Konchak were married on May 19, 2007. They held their reception at the lantana in randolph and spent their honeymoon in Costa rica. Stephen f. Dexter, Jr. (CaGS ed admin ’00) was named assistant principal of the year for 2008 by the Massachusetts Secondary School administrators’ association. an educator for more than twelve years, he has been the assistant principal of Westwood High School since 2005. the state award makes Dexter a candidate for national honors from the National association of Secondary School Principals. Meaghan J. fitzpatrick (BS Mgt ’03) and Charles e. Cravenho were married on September 29, 2007, at Brewster Garden in Plymouth. their reception was held at the Hilltop athletic association in Kingston. the couple had their first dance to “When you Say Nothing at all,” by alison Krauss. Pedro Gomes (Ba econ ’02) is involved with virtually everything to do with both the men’s and women’s national basketball teams of Cape Verde. He is married to a judge, and they have a young child. they live in Praia, Cape Verde’s largest and capital city. Debra harris (MBa ’04) has been named to a two-year term as the cable commissioner in Holbrook, Mass. Harris is vice president for administration and finance and chief financial officer at riverside Community Care in Dedham. Shanna Christina (BS Nur ’02) married ryan Hinchcliffe on October 13, 2007, in Moultonborough, N.H. katrina kellogg (Ba econ ’03) recently accepted the position of director of product development operations for 2K Games, in the San Francisco bay area. She did so after a sabbatical which included several months visiting europe and North africa. Katrina and her partner Mary are settling into life in California and taking advantage of the fantastic weather with surfing lessons and hiking trips along the coast. James P. Mcintyre, Jr. (PhD Pub Pol ’03) was named the Superintendent of Knox County Schools in Knoxville, tenn. He had been chief operating officer of Boston’s public schools since 2006. 2000s Aaron J. Adams (PhD Env Sci ’01) has written his second book, Fly Fisherman’s Guide to Saltwater Prey: How to Match Coastal Prey Fish and Invertebrates with the Fly Patterns that Imitate Them. this book is the second in adams’ effort to teach anglers to “think like a fish.” it will help anglers create, tie, and use fly patterns appropriate for the conditions they’re fishing and for the game fish they’re after, and to work the flies so they mimic suitable prey. Susanne h. Conley (EdD ’07) was appointed vice president for enrollment and student development at Framingham State College following a national search. in this position she takes on the leadership of a newly created college division that is dedicated to supporting students throughout every phase of their college experience. Since 1995, as director of Framingham State College’s writing center, associate dean of academic affairs, and associate vice president and dean of students, she has been a leader in many innovative programs at the college. Popular at the Pops UMass Boston was well represented at this year’s edition of UMass Night at the Pops—not only in the audience but also among the performers. Members of the UMass Boston Dragon Club caused delight in the aisles, and violin virtuoso Andrew Kohji Taylor ’06 won hearts from the stage. 24 n UMass Boston
