She was previously program manager at the National Standards Authority of Ireland, and a quality manager for Teradyne Connection Systems. She is also a former chair of the IPC-6012 task group. Pertti Vuorinen, currently CFO Asia-Pacific, has been called as new CFO for the Aspocomp Group Oyj. Vuorinen held the position from 1999 to 2006. Aspocomp Group’s current CFO, Tapio Engström, will move to a new role outside the Group. Aspocomp Group Oyj also named Isto Hantila chief executive. He replaces Maija-Liisa Friman, who resigned but will remain in an advisory role. Hantila is chairman of Efore Plc and Selmic Oy. Provided agreements with Meadville Holdings Ltd. are carried out, most of Aspocomp’s business will be transferred to the joint venture owned by Aspocomp and Meadville. Hantila’s primary task will be to plan and complete related structural changes in the Aspocomp Group. Rogers Corp. announced the promotion of Jeffrey M. Grudzien to vice president of sales. Grudzien will be responsible for managing a global sales team. He will report to Robert Wachob, president and CEO of Rogers Corp. Grudzien joined Rogers in 2000 as marketing manager for the Elastomeric Components Division (ECD), Willimantic, CT. During his seven-year tenure with the company, he has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, including division marketing manager for the High Performance Foams Division, director of corporate marketing, and, most recently, director of Asia sales. Rune Glavare, currently a member of PartnerTech AB’s Board of Directors, will be the acting CEO for the company after Mikael Jonson leaves his position as CEO. Glavare, who is on a number of boards, including PartnerTech, is a former senior vice president of Sanmina Europe. IPC announced that Heller Industries President Marc Peo has been appointed by the IPC Board of Directors to fill the unexpired term of Pierre de Villeméjane, who resigned in August. Peo’s service on the Board is effective immediately and will expire in April 2009. The IPC-7351 LP Suite is a series of tools that use IPC and industry-approved mathematical algorithms and component orientations to calculate land pattern dimension data from any manufacturer’s component dimensional data. Stablcor Inc. announced a new licensing agreement with Anaheim, CA-based DDi Corp. DDi’s new agreement with Stablcor eliminates end-product royalties, which were charged to the fabricator before the product could be shipped 12 to the end user. The new licensing policy is being introduced to qualified fabricators to transition STABLCOR from a specialty material to a general build-up material for use in PCB structures. CADParts & Consulting LLC announced it will market the complete Simplified Solutions Inc. offering of subscriptions and products including the 3D Component Modeling Service, Yearly Pro/Engineer Electrical Library Subscriptions and libraries of Pro/E and IGES formatted electrical components. Titan Global Holdings Inc., a diversified holding company, announced its strategic plan to spin out Titan’s Electronics Group. According to the company, a spin-off would be accomplished through the pro rata dividend of 100% of Titan EG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Titan, to all shareholders of record on the record date set by Titan. The company will file a Form 10 with the Securities and Exchange Commission and will make application for admission to the NASDAQ stock exchange of Titan EG. Titan will retain its Communications Division, Titan Global Energy Group, Homeland Security Group, and Titan Global Brands units. Titan recently issued revenue guidance for fiscal 2008 that includesTitan PCB’s expected $30 million contribution to the company’s stated overall revenue guidance of between $735 million and $747 million for fiscal 2008. In addition, Titan issued initial earnings guidance for fiscal year 2008 in the range of $15 million to $17 million, or $.24 .5 to $.28 per diluted share.
