The process incorporates a classic plan, do, check, act methodology and includes the following stages: Plan — Leadership begins with a strategic plan that includes the business case for transformation. Leadership also develops the team for and the scope of the initial activities including an analysis of customer needs and whether your company is achieving those needs. Learn — Before an organization is transformed, it must first understand both the methodology for transformation, and the state of the current system. The first part of the learning phase is ensuring that everyone has a foundational understanding of transformation from which the organization can embark. During the baseline assessment portion of the learning phase the transformation team will learn more about how its business currently works. Transform — During this stage of work the transformation team is designing the new system, followed by a series of specific implementations. The team also is utilizing our Eureka! Measure — Once the new designs are implemented, the metrics that were established in the baseline assessment continue to be measured to see what effects the implementations have had on system performance. New metrics are started to measure the company’s new way of doing things and measuring performance important to you and your customer. Improve — After the initial wave of implementation events, a culture of improvement will have started to change the organization. It will be important at this point to develop an organizational model for continuous improvement. The individual implementation events will then be merged into a Kaizen structure with daily, weekly and monthly improvement activities. Although Rapid Enterprise Solutions requires considerable training, it is more than just training.
