The Basic Composition/ESL Department strives to accomplish its mission by providing a learnercentered environment which allows students to develop self-confidence along with the skills necessary to succeed in their academic or occupational endeavors. The Department uses a variety of instructional formats including traditional classroom settings, computerized instruction, collaborative learning exercises, peer and individualized tutorials, and individualized instruction to meet student needs.
