Free Flowing In addition to its green approach to decor and business, there’s still one more, most important, reason why clients love Verde Salon. The staff of six stylists (many of whom Rodriguez says are former co-workers) consistently produces supple, beautiful, natural-looking hair styles, in an environment that combines cozy comfort with upscale pampering. “Our work is classic, but up-todate,” Rodriguez asserts. All of the hair designers are big believers in encouraging a client’s natural texture. “We have lots of clients with curly hair,” notes Rodriguez, “and we encourage that curl rather than fight it. We have lots of fun with texture.” But at Verde, “natural” doesn’t mean unpolished. According to Rodriguez, styling tools are always at the ready to give each client a fabulous finish. “We curl, wrap, flatiron, whatever it takes,” she says, “to make sure every client walks out of here looking hot!” In addition to overseeing her staff, caring for a full book of clients, planning a salon expansion and settling into her first home, Rodriguez has another project on her to-do list. She and her fiancé plan to be married in April. And she couldn’t be happier.
