CHI - Summer 2009 - (Page 26) ARTIST PROFILE The Lynn and Rocky Show This new team is eager to hit the road together. HE’S AN AWARD-WINNING stylist from Toronto who loves sports and working out. She’s a vivacious hair biz veteran of 22 years from a small town near St. Louis. For the first time this year, Rocky Vitelli and Lynn Caselton are touring North America together as an educational team for Farouk Systems and their audiences are in for a treat. Q: Which Farouk Systems products are your favorites? Q: How would you describe the education style of your new partner? Lynn: Rocky is a great stylist and a patient teacher and he’s so motivating and upbeat. Rocky: Lynn is down-to-earth and inspiring and she brings so much energy to the stage. She loves what she does and it shows. Q: What do you hope to share with your students? Lynn: That it’s important to realize hair color has changed over the past 20 years, so you have to stay up-to-date. It’s the only way to grow. Try different things all the time—that’s when you learn and overcome the fear. Rocky: To take advantage of my experience. I’m there to inspire and to help them be successful. Lynn: I love the new CHI Infra Environmental No Lift Cream Color. It’s a wonderful product—fast and economical to use. I also love the new CHI Organics. The shampoo and conditioner really rebuild the hair and every product in the line works on every type of hair. Rocky: CHI Shine Infusion is a great product for creating texture. You can straighten hair without frizz and it protects and actually treats the hair with silk. And CHI Silk Infusion protects hair and gives it shine. It also helps hair color go on more evenly and last longer. Q: Why did you choose to work with Farouk Systems? Lynn: I’ve been using the company’s hair color for 12 years. I tried every color line on the market before that. I love the versatility and it’s simple to use. It makes all the sense in the world. It makes you more artistic and the things you can accomplish are endless. Rocky: I like what the company stands for. It’s the biggest hair product company that is still owned by a hairdresser. I’ve always used the products, no matter where I work. Q: You both work in salons when you’re not on the road. (Rocky is the senior educator for the 57 Tonyc Salons across Ontario and Lynn serves clients at Mane Attraction in the St. Louis area.) How would your clients describe you? Lynn: Inspirational and upbeat. I am good at reading my clients’ personalities and choosing the hair color that works best. Before each client leaves, I always say something that makes them feel good! Rocky: Creative, energetic and meticulous. They all see how passionate I am about what I do! 26 Volume V, Issue 19
