CHI Spring 2008 - (Page 10) LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT FAROUK SYSTEMS A GLOBAL COMPANY OVER THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS, I have literally traveled to all points on the globe, visiting Farouk Systems Group customers in many countries. So much that I even had to add extra pages to my passport! The worst part of all that travel is that sometimes I wake up in my hotel room and it takes a few minutes to remember where I am! But that’s nothing compared to the best part—the inspiration and energy I receive from the members of our global “family.” Whether I’m in Ecuador or China, Egypt or the Netherlands, Shauky Gulamani, President of Farouk Systems Group I’m always delighted by the style and creativity I find among the hairdressers I meet. I love the technically exquisite hair cuts that are being offered in Poland and the level of hair color artistry being performed in Russia. The styling work in Tokyo and Ecuador rivals anything you’ll find on a Hollywood movie set. I have to commend the Farouk Systems Group team of international educators. Posted on nearly every continent, these dedicated professionals are committed to elevating the art of hairdressing. They tirelessly conduct classes and workshops to help their colleagues learn and grow. And from what they tell me, there is an eager group of students out there—professionals anxious to be the best and the most skilled in their countries, cities and communities. I’m proud to be a part of this global beauty community. Farouk Systems Group supplies beauty professionals from Istanbul to Iowa, in large cities and small towns, with everything they need to remain in the forefront of fashion and style.
