Just as flowers and trees begin to experience their rebirth, so are we blossoming in our own ways. We become brides, graduates and prom princesses, or we grow a little wild for spring break. We stretch, we flourish. As spring turns to summer, we enjoy the long hours of light as we switch back and forth between pushing ourselves to our physical limits and giving it all up to utter relaxation. Spring is a favorite time at the salon, because we see all of that and more! On weekends, especially, the salon bubbles with such great energy as clients bounce in, brimming with news of their exciting upcoming events. Teaching a young girl whose hair we’ve been snipping for years to apply make-up for her eighth grade graduation, hosting teen clients and a dozen of their closest friends for a grand prom preparation, helping brides choose the special hair style for the photos that will grace their fireplace mantles forever—these opportunities are a big part of what makes our jobs so gratifying. But it doesn’t all get done by magic! Like every other aspect of a big event, grooming takes planning.
