CHI - Summer 2008 - (Page 64) FAROUK BEHIND THE SCENES FAROUK PARTNERS WITH MISS WHEELCHAIR TEXAS Farouk Systems, the hair care company with heart, recently partnered with the Miss Wheelchair Texas Foundation 2008 and CW’s Yolanda Green, and styled hair for Miss Wheelchair contestants. Stylists Jose Ortega, Anne Brown, Tina Cooper and Kara Skero created glamorous looks for each woman and Farouk Systems’ Jessica Dauzat volunteered to serve as a make-up artist. Ms. Wheelchair Texas 2008 will serve as a spokesperson for people with disabilities. The organization enables women with disabilities to be in the company of peers who share disability-related commonalities, similar life-long goals, and the desire to improve the lives of others with disabilities.
