OMAL Hinge & Hardware Insertion The OMAL HBD 1300 and 1550 Series of Horizontal Bore, Glue and Dowel machines are computer numerically controlled machines to drill, glue, insert dowels, groove, profile and insert hardware on horizontal pieces. The standard HBD machine gives you a cycle time of approximately ONE second for each bore, glue and dowel insertion when holes are on 32mm intervals! The HBD 1550 can be equipped with a groove saw, up to 5 vertical drills and 5 horizontal drills, multiple dowel diameters and various hardware inserters. A popular solution is the Multi-1550 for both 6mm and 8mm dowels, with a grooving saw, making it a flexible work cell for cabinet tops and bottoms and drawer sides. The work table comes with an automatic selection of the working reference (left, center, or right position) and accommodates up to 10’ panels. Plus, the machine can be equipped with up to 5 top drills for face boring. OMAL builds single side CNC and manual machines to drill and pneumatically insert hinges, RAFix and MiNiFix or other types of hardware. These machines come in semi-automatic and automatic versions. The work cycle is pneumatically and electronically adjustable to achieve times of less than 3-4 seconds per hardware insert!!
