The Mayer Advantage • Operator interface to machine - Mayer saws are equipped with a high speed PC running Windows. Easy to upgrade, network, inexpensive to replace and link to third party software. • Saw carriage with multi point bearings support - Mayer’s system is designed to provide smooth travel, minimum wear and an even load to all bearings. • Saw carriage guideways - Mayer’s guideway mounts and machine bed are milled in one operation on a single i beam, ensuring absolute parallel travel and very robust structure. The rack is injected with a dry lube compound and an oversized alpha gearbox ensures smooth action with excellent serviceability and rapid acceleration. • Heavy duty saw bed - in addition to the two standard legs that support the table, Mayer adds an additional support along the length of the saw bed, increasing machine stability and cut quality. • Saw bed design - Mayer’s table is micro finished steel that will not wear or scratch sensitive materials. • Design of positioning fence & clamps - The Mayer fence is driven by an AC servo motor on a common shaft with rack and pinion on both sides. Guideways and rollers are hardened steel. The system is easy to set up and to maintain the squareness and parallel travel of the fence. • Material and guidance system - Mayer’s slotted design allows you to cut right up to the back edge of the panel, while keeping the beam pressure points tightly together, which guarantees cut quality. • Accurate measuring system - Mayer’s fence positioning is performed with a non contact magnetic strip with a resolution of 0.0005”!
