Do they encourage their guests to re-use their towels? It may seem like a small thing, but a block of 100 rooms that engages in a towel re-use program saves, on average, 72,000 gallons of water and 480 gallons of detergent every year. That’s the equivalent of a single-family home taking more than 6,200 showers annually. Many Vancouver hotels already participate in towel re-use programs, and when customers ask, it helps reinforce the demand for such green practices.
