1) Jeff Clark likes to mix things up, as
demonstrated by his gathering of guitars. From left, they are an '02 Collings
D2H, a '48 Gibson BR-6 lap steel, an
'89 Fender Tele, an imported mandola,
a '60s Silvertone solidbody, and a '97
Scheerhorn Hawaiian. The amps in
back are a '50s Supro Comet and an '81
2) Richard Childs' guitar collection may
not hint at his influences, but his photo
collection sure does. From left, the guitars are a 2007 PRS SC 245 (in Black),
an '08 PRS McCarty 245 (Glacier Blue), a
Fender Telecaster Deluxe '72 Road Worn
(White), a '14 Music Man John Petrucci
Ball Family Reserve (Black Smokeburst),
an '06 Bill Nash S-63 (Lake Placid Blue),
and a '14 Breedlove acoustic. The photos, meanwhile, are all Jimi Hendrix!
3) Russ is a guitar fanatic (and longtime
VG reader!) whose collection includes
(from left) a '96 Epiphone Viola bass, an
'07 G&L L-2000, a '16 Gibson Les Paul
Studio, an '05 SG Special, and a '67
Musicraft Messenger. The amps are
a Roland Blues Cube 60, an early-'70s
Gibson G-20 with a cabinet made from
a reclaimed Hammond M-1, and an '82
JMF Spectra 125 stack.
4) Dave Farrow and his son enjoy an "all
in the family" approach to their guitar
collecting, and they gathered some of
the pieces for this shot. Standing from
left are a '92 Fender SRV Strat, a Gibson Les Paul Traditional, Gibson Don
Felder EDS-1275, a '94 40th Anniversary
Strat, an '07 Gibson SG, and a Flying V.
Propped on the floor are a Gibson ES175, a '76 Gretsch Chet Atkins Super
Axe, and a '61 Höfner Verithin.
5) Joe Sola is an absolute freak for Eko
guitars made in the 1960s.
