STAR POWER An adventure to a remote destination has its perks - wide-open spaces, powerful landscapes, and time to
recharge. But one of its best benefits doesn't emerge until after sunset, when millions of stars blanket the sky. Wyoming's
158-room Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole takes its stargazing seriously: In-house astronomer Ryan
Hennessy leads nightly treks to nearby Grand Teton National Park and other great viewing spots. His two-hour constellation
crash courses are elevated, thanks to wine, cheese, and a pair of Schmidt-Cassegrains - the Rolls-Royce of telescopes. The
resort hosts occasional pop-up events to celebrate outer space, including one for the total solar eclipse on August 21. (Rooms
are sold out, but tickets for the resort's viewing event were still available at press time.) Other summer adventures at the resort
include wildlife safaris, guided hikes, and fly-fishing field trips. Doubles from $779; Virtuoso travelers receive a welcome amenity,
a bottle of wine, and breakfast daily. Stargazing excursions from $1,275 for up to six people. Solar eclipse event, $375 per person.
