(VERSAILLES GATE) TODD GIPSTEIN/ CORBIS GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DINNER Marie Antoinette would surely have approved. The famously indulgent queen’s former home, Versailles, will stage The Dinner of the Chefs, a gathering of 16 top toques representing nearly 40 Michelin stars, on September 17. Arranged by Lafayette Travel, the event begins with a Chopin recital, prelude to the 15-course meal prepared by the likes of Spain’s Martin Berasategui, France’s Michel Troisgros, and the United States’ Charlie Trotter. The tab, around $31,750 per person, includes transfers from Paris plus a reception and photographs exclusively for Virtuoso guests at the City of Light’s legendary Studio Harcourt (typically about $2,800 per person for portrait sessions).
