Architect Richard Rogers, who recently worked his magic on Madrid’s Barajas Airport, has designed one of the largest freestanding buildings in Britain, housing a best-of-the-Kingdom selection of shops (Harrods, Ted Baker), restaurants (Gordon Ramsay’s Plane Food, Wagamama), and services (Elemis Travel Spa) that provide a sense of place even in transit.
