In the plaza, a circular reflecting pool is flanked by three angular pavilions containing a restaurant, a café, and the tourist office, two of which are covered in plantings. At night, the paved areas and leafy pathways are lit with bubbles of polycarbonate, strung overhead on cables. Parque García Sanabria An impeccably maintained botanical garden occupying several city blocks, this is a perfect place for an early morning jog. Lush plantings include towering Indian laurels, flowering roble amarillo (yellow elder), and scarlet-bloomed African tulip trees, as well as the obligatory palms.
