Mendoza, argentina Park Hyatt Mendoza on a recent trip to argentina, I stayed once again at the splendid Park hyatt Mendoza, housed in a beautifully restored nineteenth-century Spanish colonial building in the heart of the country’s bustling wine capital. Its signature restaurant, Bistro “M,” features Mendocinean cuisine with Mediterranean touches, and the deep wine list showcases locally produced selections. Lucas Moncho, the hotel’s knowledgeable wine director, recommends the 2004 Nicolás Catena Zapata ($120 retail), the flagship wine from bodega Catena Zapata, Wine directors Lucas Moncho, Jerry Lee, and Eric Contrucci lead the lists at their hotels.
