Hawaii ranked high in this year’s Travel Dreams Survey for family vacations and top island escapes. Virtuoso Life’s editorial advisory board gives tips on what to look for on the big five. The best islands for families: Maui offers the most options for all ages and budgets, and also has the best swimming beaches. It’s a great choice for self-drive explorations and family-friendly resorts. >> The Big Island is Hawaii’s playground. Watch active volcanoes, visit a coffee and orchid farm, and learn the hula.
