The committee was unanimously approved for the award due to its years of partnership in providing special opportunities for the Scouting program. The award was presented at the Pathfinder District February Roundtable. For more information about Scouting, visit the website at www.scouting.org. Open to all high school and college students. Students interested in participating in this summer’s show will be required to read from the script and sing a vocal selection of their choice (accompanist provided). Those interested in feature roles must sing a selection from The Pirates of Penzance. No appointment is necessary to audition. A $50 registration fee is due at the auditions. Artwork Exhibited at the 22nd Annual Prairie Arts Festival Talented artists from around the country, live entertainers, and food vendors will participate in the 22nd annual Prairie Arts Festival. The festival will be held May 23 and 24 on the grounds of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center from 10am to 5pm each day, and will also offer children's art activities. Drawings, fiber arts, glass, graphics, jewelry, mixed media, paintings, photography, pottery, and sculpture are featured at this juried exhibition and sale that includes approximately 155 artists from throughout the U.S. Become a Purchase Award patron for the Prairie Arts Festival either personally or through a business. Just pledge to spend at least $100 with one artist and patrons will have a chance to acknowledge their support with a Purchase Award and take home their art. By committing to a Purchase Award, patrons are pledging, in advance of the event, to make a purchase at the Prairie Arts Festival. As a Purchase Award participant, an acknowledgment will be made in the Prairie Arts Festival program, and an award ribbon and sign indicating the purchaser’s name, or their business' name, will be prominently displayed at the artist's display area for the duration of the festival. In addition, the artwork purchased is, of course, the patron’s property.
