A Story With
Star Power
Park simulation games aren't exactly
known for storytelling, but Jurassic World
Evolution is making an effort to change
that. Frontier promises the missions of the
campaign will form an interesting, cohesive narrative, one that weaves through
established Jurassic canon and touches on
similar themes.
The game builds up this story using
both original characters and those from
the films. For the latter group, the studio
even got the actors to reprise their roles.
And while it's fun to hear Bryce Dallas
Howard as Claire Dearing and B.D. Wong
as Dr. Henry Wu, nothing is more exciting
than the return of Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian
Malcolm.
As your advisor, Malcolm's not there to
give out contracts or encourage you to
explore any one route. As in the films, he
serves as a Cassandra figure, commenting
on your actions and warning you about
the dangers of tampering with nature.

With gorgeous, realistically simulated
dinosaurs and an emphasis on player
choice, Evolution isn't about directly
adapting the events of any one movie.
