Best Practice Guide for Warehouses 2008 - (Page 44) WAREHOUSE Installation and Wiring Details BUILDINGS Rack Storage Switch Input Wiring & Lighting is scheduled on at 6:00 AM and off at 10:00 PM using a time clock located in an LI lighting control panel. Occupants can press the low-voltage override switch to prevent lights from turning off, and extend operation for 2 hours. After hours and on weekends, lighting can be activated using the low-voltage switches. Override switches for the bulk storage and rack areas control lighting in a maximum 10,000 ft² area. A 2-hour override is used during these off hours. Independent program schedules are established for each lighting channel and programmed into the Group Switch Card via the clock interface. In the bulk storage area, every 8 bays (20,000ft²) are grouped on one schedule (channel) to comply with the maximum 25,000 ft² requirement for ASHRAE 90.1 and IECC. In the rack storage area, each group of 13 aisles (24,960 ft²) is controlled by one channel.
