Wire & Cable Technology International - January/February 2008 - (Page 10) INDUSTRY NEWS Strong Exhibit Space Growth for wire 2008 Messe Düsseldorf North America (MDNA), Chicago, IL, USA, reports that wire 2008 continues to grow. With just a few months until showtime, the organizers registered a strong increase in exhibit space reserved by many Eucompanies. The trade fair takes place March 31, 2008 to April 4, 2008 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. METAV 2008, International Trade Fair for Manufacturing Technology and Automation, will be held parallel with wire 2008 making Düsseldorf the global meeting place for these industries. wire 2008 will also be held concurrently with Tube 2008, International Tube and Pipe Trade Fair. At wire 2008, large exhibitor participation will come from Asia, the USA, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy and Germany. The main categories covered by machinery, spring production, metal forming and wire and cable. wire 2008 exhibits will be located in Halls 9 to 14, and about 37,000 attendees, with 22,000 from outside of Germany, are expected at the show. Acceptance of abstracts will be based on originality, content, applicability, market interest and clarity. Papers submitted for accepted abstracts will be published in the 57th IWCS Conference Proceedings and will be available in on-line libraries for ease of reference. All authors must present their work at the IWCS Conference, November 9 to 12, 2008, at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, RI, USA.
