High Interest in Latest Wire, Fiber and Cable Developments At this years IWCS Conference™ in Lake Buena Vista, FL, USA, Nextrom and Rosendahl cable developments including ribbon coloring systems. Wide-ranging interest was received for dry tube process improvements to SZ stranding for tight buffered products. Additionally, LAN cable upgrades and process improvements for value-added upgrades in the area of gas injection systems for both plenum and nonplenum grades gained interest. In addition to the two technical papers that where presented, one educational short course about “Extrusion technology and equipment for the wire & cable industry” was held. Attendance was moderate, however it still maintained a strong international contingent from Asia and Europe.
