Sales managers arrange site visits with clients throughout the year and personally accompany them on their tours. A new virtual tour on the website guides viewers through the Austin Convention Center’s exhibition and meeting spaces. Online RFP forms are available on the website. convention services The Convention Services Department provides comprehensive resources for planning meetings in Austin. These staff members offer their expertise and years of experience in working with the city’s local businesses. Once the meeting or convention is scheduled in Austin, the Convention Services team brings together referrals of local products or services, conducts site inspections of local venues, provides assistance with Webbased housing and promotional e-marketing campaigns, and offers staffing for conference registration and information booths. Ask about attendance-building brochures, collateral materials, transportation arrangements, activities and tours for delegates and spouses, and music and entertainment for your functions. Marketing communications As the official voice of the Austin CVB, the Marketing Communications Department works to attract editorial attention to Austin in the national and international media. The media relations specialist also assists planners in promoting their meetings and conventions to the local community and media. Media lists, promotional videos, media kits, photographic images, press releases and logos are all available through the department for convention promotion materials.
