They work with tour operators and wholesalers, group travel leaders, travel agents and other travel planners to provide services designed to showcase Austin as a unique destination. Department staff members assist clients by providing tour itineraries, conducting site visits and familiarization tours, and offering marketing tools such as brochures, photographic images, promotional videos and customized electronic messages for your clients. Refer to the Austin CVB website for online group tours and the ability to submit online requests for proposals. Music office The Austin Music Office maintains an extensive roster of artists, bands and other live music offerings that can enhance any convention, reception, banquet or tradeshow. Austin’s legendary live music scene, which includes every genre from blues, jazz and rock to Latino, classical and country, is certain to leave a lasting impression on conference attendees. With nearly 2,000 musical acts residing in Austin, the Music Office is adept at finding the perfect match for any group event. Heritage Marketing Promoting Austin’s diverse cultural history is part of the Heritage Marketing Department’s mission. Staff members lead free, guided walking tours of the Texas State Capitol grounds and other downtown historic districts. These tours can be customized for a group’s special interest. In addition, the department offers historical brochures that are available for meeting planners and conference attendees.
