The hotel will offer 13,230 square feet of meeting space, including the sumptuous Crystal Ballroom with panoramic lakefront views and the Mercat a la Planxa restaurant. The Residence Inn Downtown/River North will offer all-suite accommodations near the Mag Mile. A first for the Elysian luxury hotel brand, the 60-story development rising in the Gold Coast area will offer all 188 of its rooms as studios and one-bedroom suites. In addition, the floors above will offer 51 private residences ranging from 3,400 to 12,000 square feet each. The property will also include a spa and fitness center as well as a restaurant by celebrity chef Charlie Trotter. Asia Pacific’s leading luxury hotel group has chosen to open its first hotel in the United States in Chicago. The Shangri-La Hotel, Chicago will occupy floors 12 through 27 of the 90-story Waterview Tower, which will also feature 233 elite residential units. The Shangri-La hopes to bring a new standard of luxury to the Windy City with sweeping views, exquisite design, 24-hour butler service and the luxury of a signature spa, restaurant and private meeting space onsite. Staybridge Suites offers all-suite hotels with a residential feel. Studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom, two-bathroom units feature fully-equipped kitchenettes, separate living and work areas and all the amenities of home.
