Named one of the greatest avenues of the world, Chicago’s famous dining, entertainment, hotel and shopping promenade is especially inviting this time of year. Magnificent Mile wintertime along the 1 Light Nights on the Mile A non-profit community organization representing more than 700 area businesses, the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association (GNMAA) keeps the holiday magic going into the New Year with seasonal events. Light Nights on The Magnificent Mile runs January through March, offering shoppers lighter prices at hotels, restaurants, shops and attractions along Michigan Avenue and a spectacular fireworks display every Saturday evening. Past highlights have included merchandise giveaways, live ice carvings and a 14-block installation of illuminated sculptures.
