It runs along both sides of the Schuylkill River and offers countless opportunities to walk, jog, bike, or hike in the fresh air. You can see an exciting regatta, play golf or Frisbee, and go horseback riding. Visit one of the park’s many historic mansions, see a concert at Mann Center for the Performing Arts, and stroll the serene grounds of the Japanese House and Garden. Behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art along both sides of the Schuylkill River, www.fairmountpark.org Barnes Foundation Home to some of the greatest French Impressionist and post-Impressionist masterpieces outside of France, this renowned collection contains 181 Renoirs, 69 Cézannes and 60 Matisses, along with works by Manet, Degas, Seurat, Prendergrast, Titian and Picasso. Take a relaxing stroll through the lush arboretum and garden. Please note: You must have an advance reservation, as admission is limited to 400 visitors each day.
