JUST A FEW HIGHLIGHTS (HALF-DAY STAY) ◆ The bounty of fresh produce and local goods at the friendly Pike Place Market has caused countless visitors to fall head over heels in love with Seattle. It’s only six blocks from the convention center and a great place to start a few hours’ exploration. ◆ A stroll down the Seattle waterfront, just minutes from the market, is a relaxing way to take in views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains. ◆ Continue the walk down to Olympic Sculpture Park and admire 20-plus groundbreaking sculptures in an aweinspiring outdoor setting. ◆ Next (energy allowing) walk northeast a few blocks to Seattle Center, where you can choose to take an elevator ride to the top of the Space Needle, explore the Experience Music Project museum, check out the Pacific Science Center or stroll among the many other attractions and cultural institutions within the center. ◆ Take the Seattle Monorail from Seattle Center back to the heart of downtown.
