SEATTLE AQUARIUM Not too many venues can boast live sea creatures as a decor option, but the Seattle Aquarium will gladly arrange for your event to have a stunning undersea backdrop. Located on Pier 59 on Elliott Bay, few other venues speak to Seattle’s exceptional location and character as well as the aquarium. www.seattleaquarium.org 4. KIANA LODGE Just a hop across Puget Sound from Seattle, the Kiana Lodge is set on six acres of lush gardens and sandy beaches. Chief Sealth (for whom Seattle is named) lived just two miles north of here, and the lodge continues to draw inspiration from its surrounding land and Native American heritage. Guests will love the famous alderroasted salmon dinner, evening bonfires and possible glimpses of bald eagles. www.kianalodge.com 2. OLYMPIC SCULPTURE PARK The Olympic Sculpture Park might just be the ultimate example of Seattle’s unique city-nature fusion. Set against views of the sound and the Olympic Mountains, and filled with groundbreaking sculptures, the park features the PACCAR Pavilion, whose large glass windows, surrounding terraces and amphitheater allow for spectacular indoor and outdoor events. www.seattleartmuseum.org 5. EXPERIENCE MUSIC PROJECT | SCIENCE FICTION MUSEUM Whether your attendees play in a virtual band in front of a screaming audience or get a close-up view of Seven of Nine’s “Star Trek” costume in person, this is not a venue they will soon forget. Two museums in one, the EMP | SFM makes a wholly original setting for out-ofthis-world events. www.empsfm.org 3. THE TRIPLE DOOR For a toe-tapping private event, consider The Triple Door, a live music venue that is regularly the setting for some of the finest jazz and soul performances around. Located right in the heart of downtown, guests will be wowed whether you choose the venue’s Mainstage area, the Musicquarium lounge or the luxurious private suites. www.thetripledoor.net 6. CHATEAU STE. MICHELLE WINERY With award-winning Washington wines, private rooms featuring original glass art decor, and a verdant pastoral setting, the chateau is a Northwest original — and sure to top the lists of attendee favorites. www.ste-michelle.com VENUES 71
