Seattle Official Visitors Guide 2008 - (Page 152) A L A S T LO O K SEATTLE THROUGH THE LENS “ andering through Seattle, I got a real sense of how much the community has loved and cared for their city. Streets have been converted to open marketplaces, and old buildings refurbished to have more functionality with the land they are on. I was especially struck by this when I stumbled upon Gasworks Park at sunset. There are old, rusty structures once used to convert coal to gas. The operations came to a standstill long ago, and what used to operate as an old exhauster-compressor is now a children’s activity barn and an aged boiler house has been transformed into a picnic area for families and communities to gather. And on top of all that, check out the view!” — Anna Zoromski, photographer from Denver, CO W Do you have a photo that captures your perspective of Seattle?
