There’s a whole universe of fun in the nightlife scene, and finding new places to unwind after a day exploring the city is one of the great pleasures of visiting Vancouver. Safe, walkable streets downtown make going out an enjoyable experience. You’ll find the downtown core loaded with intimate pubs where you can catch a Canucks hockey game with the locals, hot nightclubs perfect for dancing and live music venues where you can take in a show by an undiscovered local band or a well-known touring act. For live music, check out the Commodore Ballroom or The Roxy, both located on Granville Street. The Yale, Cellar nightclub, Capones Restaurant & Live Jazz Club and Odoul’s Restaurant & Bar are good for music fans in search of some jazz. Many hotels have live music in their bars and lounges, and there are always shows in Vancouver’s performing arts venues. If you’re looking for some gaming fun at the casino, you don’t have to go far to find what you’re looking for. Edgewater Casino is located downtown, not far from BC Place Stadium. The River Rock Casino and Resort in Richmond also has gaming, and both places are loaded with other entertainment options. the city doesn’t call it a day just because the sun has set below the horizon, and neither should you .
