The season for golf officially runs from April to October, but many courses stay open year-round, depending on weather conditions. So no matter when you’re visiting, be sure to play a round or two at one the following unforgettable courses. Par 3 Short Courses Queen Elizabeth Pitch & Putt is open February through November, dawn until dusk, weather permitting. Stanley Park Pitch & Putt is also open February through November, dawn until dusk, weather permitting. Public Courses McCleery Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course open year-round, weather permitting, and includes a driving range, clubhouse and pro shop. Fraserview Golf Course features a driving range, clubhouse and pro shop. Langara Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course, open seasonally, and is located in south Vancouver. Semi-private Courses — Moderately Challenging University Golf Club is located about 20 minutes from the downtown core at the University of British Columbia and is open year-round. It’s an 18-hole championship golf course, with a driving range and pro shop. Meadow Gardens, constructed by Les Furber in 1994, is a 7,041yard, championship links course in Pitt Meadows, a suburb east of Vancouver. Semi-private Courses — Challenging Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club, located in Coquitlam, was designed by Michael Hurdzan and offers a seasonal “heli-va-view” golf package with the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, which allows you to combine a round of golf with a spectacular helicopter “flightseeing” tour and luxury accommodations. Furry Creek Golf & Country Club is a spectacular par-72 championship layout on Howe Sound, located 10 minutes north of Lions Bay on the Sea to Sky Highway 99.
