I can’t imagine my life without rodeo. It was just something I always loved. I’d had friends who rodeo’d and finally one day I gave it a try. It was love at first jump. On some horses, eight seconds can seem like a long time! Saddle bronc riding is all about rhythm and timing — you’ve really got to be in tune with the movements of the horse. My most memorable rodeo experience? At one rodeo a few years back I got pitched over the head of my horse. I just got launched.. Usually, when I’m riding, my hearing goes out – I don’t hear a thing for those eight seconds. But this time, as I was flying through the air, my hearing came back just in time to hear the announcer say: “He’s checking out the weather up there!” When he’s not saddle bronc riding, Tim Kellogg owns and operates Meeteetse Chocolatier. The next time you’re in Meeteetse, check out his store for some of his delicious, handmade treats or visit him online at www.meeteetsechocolatier.com Photo: Bronc Riding ©Steven Mohlenkamp JOLLY ROGERS RV 6102 E.
