NEW PRODUCTS & SERVICES ANTENNAS PCTEL Unveils GPS/GLONASS High Rejection Time Sync Antennas PCTEL, Inc. has released a new series of GPS/GLONASS High Rejection Time Sync antennas. These antennas provide improved reception on both GPS and GLONASS frequencies for network time synchronization. Their high rejection design makes them suited for small cells and other LTE base stations, where cellular network signals might otherwise interfere with the acquisition of critical network timing information. "Wireless carriers are rapidly increasing the number of small cell installations to address network capacity concerns," said Jeff Miller, president of PCTEL Connected Solutions. "PCTEL's new high rejection GPS/GLONASS antennas address a crucial need for accurate network timing in an increasingly noisy RF environment." These multi-GNSS antennas use advanced filter technology that allows the same antenna to cover both GPS L1 and GLONASS L1 frequencies while maintaining PCTEL's high rejection performance. Their robust IP67-compliant design provides durability for long-term deployments. Their low noise factor means they can be installed adjacent to low-power communications antennas, such as those used on small cell installations. The antennas are available in three versions for different applications, including N-male bottom feed for direct mounting on small cells (8171D-HR-NDH-W). L-com Adds Additional 120° DAS Sectorial Antenna L-com Global Connectivity has added a new product to their HyperLink DAS series Sectorial Panel Antennas. The HG72712P-120 is a professional grade 120° vertical polarized sector panel antenna that was specifically designed to help wireless carriers to increase capacity while also deploying new spectrum in zoning challenged locations. The HG72712P-120 combines several different frequency bands to allow multiuser options. Due to the antenna's internal combiner, this wide band antenna features one single N-Female connector. This simplifies installation as only one coax cable is required for the antenna configuration, opposed to separate coax cables for each frequency. "This antenna is streamlined, full featured and supports many installation options and applications," said Kenneth Burgner, product manager. "It's also a cost effective alternative to similar antennas that are available on the market." Additional features of the HG72712P-120 antenna include a durable UV resistant radome, all weather operation, wide bandwidth (698 to 960 MHz / 1,710 to 2,700 MHz) and heavy-duty steel mounting brackets. Kaltman Creations Introduces the New Horn Antenna Series Kaltman Creations has introduced the new Aaronia PowerLOG horn antenna series, characterized by a broad frequency range and very high input powers. The antenna gain increases with frequency up to a maximum of 13 dBi. The PowerLOG 10800 and 70180 are suitable for both transmitting and receiving purposes. Due to the very high maximum transmission power capability the PowerLOG is especially suitable for EMC and immunity test measurements. The antennas include typical calibration data. The 10800 model has a frequency range from 1 GHz to 8 GHz and the 70180 model has a range from 700 MHz to 18 GHz.
