Enclosures resists attack by aggressive chemicals and does not crack or chip. It can be used in ambient temperatures of -35°C to 130°C, allowing installation in a wide variety of industrial environments across many different industries. Molded in RAL 7035 light grey, the PCJ series can be specified with hinged or screw-down front covers in either opaque or transparent polycarbonate, available with either mounting flange or adjustable feet to suit various mounting configurations. Metallic or non-metallic snap latches are available, and both materials have a padlock hasp to prevent unauthorized access. Optional inner panels are available in white painted steel or natural aluminum and all sizes have molded-in back panel bosses with brass inserts and additional center bosses for mounting DIN rails at the rear of the unit. Adjustable corner supports allows a panel to be mounted flush to the enclosure body or 1.5 inches from the bottom within the moulded-in corner slots. OKW Extends Range of Sealed Enclosures OKW have extended its Smart-Box range of IP 66 enclosures. These enclosures are designed for modern industrial electronics and provide a more professional appearance than traditional rectangular housings. Typical applications include building management, heating and air conditioning controllers, monitoring systems, safety and security electronics and test and measurement devices. Smart-Box enclosures have a series of unique features. For example, the case fixings screws and wall mounting shafts are hidden behind two hinged lid trims. The lid trims open wide to allow screw driver access and are then clipped into the closed position. As a result, no visible fixings can be seen once the unit is mounted on a wall, machine housing or bulkhead. The enclosures are molded in flame retardant ABS rated to UL 94 V-0. The standard color is light gray, RAL 7035, and uniquely for this type of enclosure, the cases have a modern fine textured surface finish. The enclosures are sealed to IP 66 which is similar to NEMA 4X. The range is available in seven standard sizes with external dimensions from 4.72 by 3.54 by 1.97 inches to 11.02 by 6.69 by 2.36 inches. The cases are assembled by four rustproof stainless steel fixing screws, which are positioned outside of the sealed interior. Internal screw pillars are molded in the top and base parts for mounting PCBs, DIN-Rails and displays. The molded IP 66 gasket is designed for easy replacement during long term maintenance. To aid installation and servicing, two plastic lid supports are provided, and the wall fixing dimensions are molded on to the underside of the base parts. The Smart-Box enclosures are fully insulated to VDE 0100. An optional key lock can also be fitted for security.
