Visions - Outpatient Care - (Page 4) VISIONS Intensive Outpatient represents the next step on the continuum of care, or introduces clients to the first steps of treatment in an outpatient setting. Goals of Outpatient Care We integrate and capitalize on lessons learned during prior treatment, and introduce these concepts to our clients that have not had any recovery related experience. Our program addresses ongoing themes in recovery such as resolving personal problems, addressing family issues, managing emotions, dealing with relapse prevention and working the 12-steps. If newly introduced to rehabilitation, there are benefits to participation in an outpatient program. We incorporate individual, group and family therapy as well as place a strong emphasis on participation in 12-steps programs. Open enrollment is offered in the program. During Phase I, clients attend four times weekly and families participate twice weekly for the first ten weeks. After transitioning to Phase II, clients attend a minimum of twice weekly while family participation is expected once a month. Individual counseling is provided monthly and as needed for crisis intervention. Our goal is to promote growth and recovery for the entire family. VISIONS Intensive Outpatient Program is committed to: • Open communication with previous treatment center and participating clinicians • Creation, evaluation and support of a home-contract • Promoting a seamless transition for those leaving a residential setting • Introducing new concepts for those entering the recovery community • Addressing existing dual-diagnosis psychiatric and/or therapeutic needs 4 outpatient program
