Visions - Outpatient Care - (Page 9) The Scholastic Academy at VISIONS, a day school, provides a safe and sober learning environment to meet the individual needs of students with addictions or those who are unable to function in a mainstream environment due to emotional traumas or behavioral problems. SAV creates a setting which is conducive to cognitive and emotional growth. A conventional school surrounding is often accompanied by new pressures and increased stress; VISIONS furnishes an environment which enables students to stay grounded and keep perspective in the face of adversity. Our learning center offers a challenging academic curriculum with a minimum of 3-to-1 staff ratio and constant supervision. Our staff ratio ensures the individual attention necessary to progress in an educational atmosphere. The curriculum is tailored to the individual needs of each student and is devised in a manner that will help maximize both time and productivity. Educational plans are created for general education, college preparation, completion of honors-level work and/or to make-up courses missed due to extenuating circumstances. Students will receive two hours of individual instruction as well as individual tutoring on an as-needed basis. Extended hours beyond the regular school day are also offered.
