Gift Book - (Page 25) The Psychology Of Color To begin, cool colors like blue, gray and green soothe the eyes. Reds and yellows fatigue the eyes. Yellows also tend to make babies cry and when used in a kitchen, tend to make couples irritable. Reds also tend to stir excitement and can increase blood pressure, but enhance energy. Greens are the most restful and cast a calming effect on people, as do blues. But, don’t use blues in a dining room as they can suppress one’s appetite! Lastly, white and cool, light colors make rooms appear larger. Paint Color Chart After you choose your paint, use this chart for easy reference and color matching later on.
