The Primary students will conduct a story telling on “Basura” (Garbage) a book by Ms. Christine Babao promoting environmental awareness. They will likewise make pledges for peace which will be turned into a peace chain. The intermediate students will have a film showing (Not One Less) for Grades 4 and 5, the grade 6 and 7 students will write letters address to the legislators and mayors of their respective province to inquire about their projects for promoting peace through nation building. The highlight of the day will be the Prayer for Peace at 12:00 noon on the 21st of September. Candles will be lighted and doves released to cap the prayer. www.parefwoodrose.edu.ph Peace Day Celebration Baguio City, Philippines Baguio City - city of pines, a city of flowers and international/tourist destination I was there in February to set the pace-and contact possible sponsor groups, and the location of PLACE for the PEACE POLE DEDICATION. The interfaith PEACE PRAYERS preparations include a giving orientation on URI(VPAR), to make it an interreligious gathering. There will be a World Peace Prayer Ceremony. and organization of grassroot interfaith community (CC). Other groups also are organizing different events around the country - every year more groups are added to those who are organizing IDP events.
