As we worked on this first issue, we interviewed a number of companies in Winston-Salem and soon realized that our city has a lot more happening than most people may realize. From remarkable new businesses that have recently started to new business that is still on its way, Winston-Salem Business & Lifestyle magazine will be working to cover it all. It is our hope to showcase the companies and business owners in Winston-Salem on a professional and personable level. Each and every one of us had a reason why we started our business. We all started with some sort of passion. We either saw a gap in the marketplace, wanted to help someone else or thought we could do something a little bit better than it was being done elsewhere. We invite you to contact us about something you are doing or something you may be aware of so we can “tell the story”. Let’s get to know each other a little bit better shall we? As Winston-Salem’s only business magazine, we initially have two goals. First, to ensure that the content is informative and timely and secondly, to help business owners and professionals forward their own business goals. To help us do this; we have partnered with several companies that can help us offer services that are important to business owners. Our newest service we are now able to offer is video. We feel video offers the reader a whole new way of absorbing information that is both informative and entertaining. Winston-Salem Business & Lifestyle Magazine is working on enhancing Winston-Salem Business TV, which will feature video interviews on various businesses, products and people. We will also be adding our new video mall, allowing business owners to showcase their products and give prospective clients the ability to view their store and products via video. What a great way to entice a new customer to visit their store! As a part of our second goal, we are doing everything possible to increase the advertising exposure businesses and professionals are getting here in Winston-Salem. Starting and running a business is hard work. We do not see ourselves, as a magazine, separate to the business community. We see Winston-Salem Business & Lifestyle Magazine as a partner that can help businesses succeed by effectively communicating with a mass audience.
